It’s London Fashion Week February 2016 (eep so excited!) I remember September 2014 when I felt inspired to write and at the time didn’t know what about so focused on tea but now look at me! I’m writing about all things I love, all the things I’m learning about products food and even myself!
Firstly, I exfoliated my face every other day (or there abouts) with my current favourite Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub. I do the rest of body when I have bath which will depend on my mood and diary but generally at least once a week (with showers in between, obviously) powered by Lush Bubble Bars and Bath Bombs. Heaven.
I suffer from extremely dry skin, especially on my face. I’m allergic Dove and Molton Brown (some chemical they use) and trying new skincare is always a risk for me. But the No 7 range came at a recommendation from a family member. I’m currently trying the Early Defence range but with a large variety they cater for all skin types and ages. I’m obsessed, I feel refreshed, revitalised and ready to share my skincare routine.
I love beauty products, all different kinds but here’s the thing I don’t wear makeup every day. At the minimum I’ll wear mascara, for which my current favourites are in the new Revlon range, the Ultra Volume or the Volume and Length Magnified (depends on what look I’m going for). I hate plastic brushes, I love bristles the way they work with my lashes. I also find plastic brushes are clumpy and unrefined.
But first my base, I’ve been trailing a new foundation at the moment; Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 hour. So far I’ve been impressed, it’s light but buildable and gives good coverage. It clings to the dryness on my forehead but no where near as badly as my old foundation. Despite being on the little more expensive side of my usual budget it is a lovely foundation and you can tell the difference when you spend a little more. For me it’s not too bad as I don’t wear foundation on a daily basis.
Generally I wear Grain from MAC as my main colour as it’s nice and neutral but with a lovely bit of shine. Sometimes, I like to add a colour to my crease too which I choose something from the stunning Iconic 3 palette from MakeUp Revolution but it really does depend on my mood and what I’m wearing to what I choose. Currently, I’m in love with these Lottie London brushes, super soft and apply really nicely. I’m normally a Real Techniques kind of gal but these are good alternative.
Finishing the look off I generally go with Tanya Burr’s Afternoon Tea Lipgloss (because well the name is perfect for me, love the shade too). But this week I’ve been injecting a bit of spring into my look with this beauty – Not in Love by MakeUp Revolution. Ironically named though since I LOVE it.
What are your favourite things in your skincare and makeup routine at the moment?
Bye for now x
