Effortless Skater Styling

img_6432Alright I admit it, I went on a shopping spree. Can you blame me after doing No spend January? I went from hating this dress and its little pom pom trim to falling love with the effortless outfit.

Skater dresses, a wardrobe must-have. Easy to wear, comes in many patterns and colours AND are pretty good value too! Might I also mention how easy to style they are? I tried this outfit combination after taking the dress home, it changed my mind almost immediately! I was comfortable (although a little cold from the bare legs and wind combination but nothing a pair of tights won’t fix), feeling effortlessly glam and it went with my favourite item of January, my hat. img_6434.jpgSo fall in love with skater dresses and save money whilst you do so, this babe is just £20 from Dorothy Perkins and if you play your cards right and order online there are often discount codes or offers floating around (like this cheeky one here).

But it’s not just dresses, I’m obsessed with skirts too (especially blue ones it seems but sssh don’t tell). I just styled this simple blue skirt from H&M with a spotty shirt (also from H&M) perfect for a day in the office. I’m yet to find the right necklace for this look so let me know if you know of one! I’ve also previously styled this skirt with a roll neck and a jumper, they are just so easy! img_6437.jpg I know I’ve barked on about staple items and styling them with the more affordable items but a-hem buying cheaper (but slightly better and not ridiculously expensive) is a good way to go too, especially if you wear it A LOT. Just get a few outfits for the season, wear them to death and refresh for Spring/Summer. These two outfits are a great example, until death do us part. PS skater dresses suit any shape, an extra reason (not that I really to convince you any more) to love the skater.

Bye for now x
