Mother’s Day Gift Guide

I know that to me, my mum is very special and I try and show that the whole year through and not just for one day. But if you are looking for a special gift for your mum then here are some of my top pick ideas!

Mayfield Lavender

I grew up in Surrey so you can imagine my delightful surprise when I discovered Mayfield Lavender where not too far away from I used to live! 25-acres of organic lavender can’t have been easy to hide! Why not treat your mum with some of the fantastic products? From fudge, to skincare, home fragrance and even tea there is a whole host to choose from!

Mudness Ceramics

Firstly, can we take a moment to appreciate the name of this little treasure? All handmade by a ceramic artist based in the Scottish highlands, these products are perfect gifts. My personal favourites from the store are this stunning tea light candle holder and the large ceramic red polka dot mug. But there are a whole host of amazing gifts you can choose from over on their Esty store! (Pst, get 10% off if you spend £20 or more, until 2 March)

Julian Macdonald Interflora Collection

I love flowers both having them at home and giving them as gifts so when I heard that one of my favourite fashion designers had collaborated with Interflora for Mother’s Day I nearly fell off my chair (but obviously I didn’t because, well, that would be embarrassing). The purples and pinks are a beautiful combination and I would agree with Julien Macdonald when he describes the bouquet as having ‘endless appeal.’ Presented in a dual-branded gift box with designer tag and ribbon, the Exquisite Rose and Lisianthus Hand-tied, is priced at £50, plus delivery. The collection comes in a multitude of colours, so you are covered if your mum is not one of those pink lovers (phew!)

Wish Bottles by The Angel Rooms

Join me on a discovery of a unique gift shop situated by the beach in the seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent and welcome the Wish Bottle concept into your life. These little beauties are such a perfect little gift. All you have to is take the scroll out of the bottle and write your wishes upon it – but don’t rush, think carefully about your wish – then pop the scroll back in the bottle and simply wait for them to come true. Each bottle is handmade with love, so share these thoughtful gifts.

Stitch and Story – Mateusz snood Knitting kit

I love this item! You could either give the kit as the gift, or make the snood yourself and give the finished item as the gift! It’s available in a range of colours and perfect for the nippier weather that keeps making its appearance.

Graduate Collection – Heart or Stars mugs by Zoe Betts

We all know how much I love a good cup of tea? Well my mum is the same, although for some it’s coffee. Why not treat them to a new mug – but I would highly recommend you look into the Hearts or Stars Mug collection by Zoe Betts! ‘A simple design scheme to create something with purpose and beauty’ – agreed!

Afternoon Tea at Home

Create your own finger sandwiches, scones and put the kettle on! A simple, thoughtful gift that you could put together for your mum, or even make together. I tried to make scones for the first time the other week and they are not too difficult, but I would definitely follow a recipe (we tried Jamie’s Crumbliest Scones) – just don’t forget the jam and clotted cream!
