So I had an unusually busy weekend planned, I normally try and have at least one day at home to chill out and attempt (often failing) to get the housework done. On Saturday, I went with my good friend Binny (check out her blog here –> Binny’s Kitchen) to the GLAMOUR Beauty Festival, in association with Fiat, thanks to the good people at OGX. Here’s the thing I have a confession to make… throughout the whole day I called the GLAMOUR Magazine Festival. Close Michelle, but you know…not quite.
Taking over London’s Saatchi, the festival was a two day affair over the weekend 12 and 13 March 2016 enabling you to spend the morning or afternoon browsing the world’s top brands. Nars, Rimmel, Lancôme, OPI, Liz Earle were just to name a few. Each ticket allowed you to get into a talk of your choice, a free glass of Chandon and a free goodie bag worth £160! I was already sold.
But then I discovered that Tanya Burr was one of the speakers, I got ever so majorly excited! I am a massive fan of Tanya and find her so inspiring in terms of the wide variety of content she publishes on both her blog and Youtube channel. During the talk one of the key things was that to make sure you write about what you love. I started this blog was for love of tea, but there is more and I have evolved this little adventure to share more than that. I want you to tell me what you love me writing and tell me if you want something in particular because you make this venture worth the time and effort. Thank you so much in your support so far, it means so much!
But the big question is what did we do to pamper ourselves? We started with a hand and arm massage with Liz Earle – and I must say for someone never used the products before I was entranced by the scents. Next up, hair. Binny went for a braid and I couldn’t resist the curls. An 8 minute oxygen facial with Elizabeth Arden was breathtaking, the facial is supposed to revive, refresh and recharge the skin, revealing a radiant and plumped appearance – it succeeded. Finally, we treated ourselves to the Cover Girl shoot, where you have your makeup done by Lancôme and you can be become your own GLAMOUR cover girl – just look at us aren’t we beautiful?
I went home feeling pretty well pampered and all set for my sofa date with Suits. Bliss. Oh, I must not forget to talk goody bag! One more thing before I do – I vlogged. Yep. The whole day. But not only did I get the footage, I actually edited it together so be kind and gentle…
Last and not least, the goody bag. There was so many amazing products that I can’t wait to try – mostly facial ones apparently – but I could not justify keeping them all to myself so I have decided to do a giveaway with some few additional items in there too.
