Welcome to the second part of my styling with for the UK Blog Awards. The countdown has begun and I know that my friend, Food & Drink finalist, Binny from Binny’s Kitchen is on the hunt for THE perfect dress. This inspired this little series for my top picks. Everyone is different is what they suit so some these might not suit you but perhaps inspire you for colours or style. I love fashion and styling so I hope that you enjoy this series – let me know your favourite dress! You can read the long dress post over >here<. True to my roots, all of the dresses are under £100. If you would like me to do some image collages of styled outfits leave me a comment or let me know over on Twitter.
First off this dress that caught my eye in the Topshop window when I was browsing on Easter Monday. I did try it on and although it was not right for me at all – #sadface – this would look stunning with either some lovely bright accessories (I had my Clarks Carlita Clove heels in mind) or keeping it simple with nude or even monochrome – the possibilities are endless!
Next is a gorgeous strapless number. I used to hate strapless because… well there isn’t much there, however if you get the style right you can find them but don’t expect to get it right straight away – it took me 5 years or so to get it right! What I love about this dress is the midi length. If you don’t want a long dress and keen on a short dress then a midi is a perfect alternative.
Chi Chi London was definietly a brand to make it to my list for dresses for the UK Blog Awards but if you are looking for stunning dresses these guys are perfect for every occasion – I’ve been eyeing some up for a special afternoon tea later this year. They are literally just gorgeous! It was so hard to pick just one dress from this brand, but how could I not include this stunning spring colour and detailed back. jaw droppingly simple but magical. One outfit closer to letting out your inner Princess – don’t lie to me, I know it’s in there!
The tuxedo dress. Pure heaven and styling perfection. I love this number from MissGuided because of the asymetrical zip detail and yes, I’m sorry I have a bit of a love attraction to white at the moment (come on SS16 I’m waiting for you!) but don’t worry if white is not your colour it also come in >black<!
If you are on a complete budget and you are struggling to find the dress that will make you feel a million dollars and totally on point whilst doing so, check out boohoo.com. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with the brand for a few years – but mostly because I didn’t like the items I purchase when they arrived – nothing about the brand. But you never know there could be something for you on the virtual rails of the internet…
Next up accessories and shoes! Bye for now x
