#TheLuxeLife | Get Fleur’s Look

I never used to have any idols or people of inspiration. Until I started blogging and I have a whole host inspirations both big and small in terms of blog size. In my eyes any blogger I follow/read or YouTuber I watch is in an inspiration. They’ve captured me into their content and their world, even if it is only for one time. There is one inspiration that I only discovered last year but since then I have loved every moment from the vlogs, blog and the look books and my personal favourite the ‘New in beauty‘ – Fleur de Force.

Petitetealover.co.uk is turning 1 in a couple of weeks and it’s when I remember that Fleur has been doing her thing for what, 6 years? It doesn’t happen overnight. Fleur worked hard to be where she is now and when I feel like I’ve not come far enough I try and remind myself of this fact.

Results don’t happen overnight.

This little saying has been a constant one for me, from improving my skin to posting on my blog. It makes me immensely proud to say that whilst I don’t have a given posting schedule, I don’t post unless I am 100% happy. Behind the scenes I have a rough idea when I’m posting things but I like to keep it loose and relieve myself of pressure. Blogging makes me happy. Bloggers are my inspiration. My readers are my inspiration – yes you!

So when I found out that Fleur was doing a book signing of The Luxe Life at Selfridges as part of her book tour I knew I had to be there. Firstly, the book is amazing. From the copper spine to the product suggestions. Any look is possible to create yourself, if you put in the time and the thought. I even discovered that Fleur (unsurprisingly) loves afternoon tea. Serious fan girl moment right there.

I dashed out of the office on Monday on the dot at 5pm to ensure that I was there at 6pm for an early spot in the queue. I had actually managed to forget that it was happening in the morning but thankfully was feeling rather snazzy in my new Primark dress but on the flip side, I had forgotten my camera. (Thank goodness for smart phones) I met the lovely Jordan in the queue and yes we chatted favourite Fleur moments. I did vlog it but I’ve not edited the video yet, but subscribe over >here< to know when it appears. Jordan had met Fleur once before and to be remembered by Fleur was definitely a special moment.

Can I take a moment to discuss the outfit? When Fleur walked past in the queue we could not decide whether it was a jumpsuit or a 2 piece. I edged towards a 2 piece and I wasn’t wrong.

You can get the top from River Island >here<. I hunted high and low for the trousers and truth betold I couldn’t find them online.. but, personally I’m not a fan of the wide leg/palazzo style (I blame the height) so I would personally pair with a cigarette style or bootcut and neutral heels. Here’s some options:

1. Bootcut trousers, Boden | 2. Cigarette trousers, Asos | 3. Grey pointed heel, New Look on Asos | 4. Mink pointed heel, Dorothy Perkins | 5. Nude pointed Peru heel, Asos

Much love xxx
