Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips Review

I don’t know why but talking about pores feels like an overshare  – or is that just me? But for me, my nose feels like the place for buildup of gunk. Ew. I’m having a major spot breakout at the moment on my jawline but that’s probably my slacking on evening skincare. I’ve been trying to look after my skin a lot more recently and getting your head around skin care is one of them.

I’ve been trying new products over the last couple of months but these by far were the ones that intrigued me; Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips. Apparently – according to the Boots website – the strips work like a magnet, instantly locking onto and drawing out deep-down dirt & oil that can cause blackheads. Infused with natural charcoal, these innovative pore strips draw out excess oil for the deepest clean.

Firstly, I washed my face with the Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy Daily Energising Gel Wash – one of my all time favourite washes. It smells like grapefruit, which is weird for me because I hate grapefruit but any beauty products seem to win me over. Then I wet my nose and placed the strip onto my nose and left it there for 10-15 minutes. I had the expectation that it was going to feel horrible and I would want to take it off instantly. This was not the case, in fact I nearly forgot that I had to take it off! On first reaction my nose felt super smooth and oh my goodness I could not believe how much came off with the strip.

A couple of days later and I’m definitely a fan. I couldn’t help but stoke my nose – but that kind of defeats the object and puts the dirt back in, so I had to have some stern words with myself to stop. I cannot wait to try these out again and are a great way to a quick and simple pamper session or could be an additional step to a mammoth session – we all do them now and then (don’t try and deny it).

Have you tried the Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips, or another brand? What’s your thoughts?

Much love xxx
